  1. DCA always seemed the way to go for me. Its where I started as kid and its where I want my corps to be. Lets hope that seting a limit on a corps size does not stop this great expansion. It seemed like there were more a few years ago as this expansion started and when the numbers clamped down that growth stopped.......
  2. Im not a drummer but THIS has got to be the shirt of the summer for you guys!!! http://www.miclothing.com/shirts/unisex/snare
  3. I have a lot of faith! YOU guy are the ones throwing the match. Not them!
  4. I hope you guys know you are throwing a match to a barrel of aircract fuel!
  5. I say we do that 007 pose for a picture like we did yesterday and prove it to them!
  6. Don't be afraid!! Its what they want! Mellophones can smell fear! :sshh: Especially these 2 pluss the one they are training!
  7. You just HAD to go there, Jeff!!!! But now that you mention it, we did tend to get more "female" names that night............ b**bs
  8. Since the death of the Steel City field Corps there has been from the Western PA area....... The Enforcers (were out Competing in DCI then became the Golden Lancers) Golden Lancers (folded but were out Competing in DCI) Butler Vagabonds (rebuilding again but were out Competing in DCI) Sound Wave (folded but were out Competing in DCA) Nightstorm (folded but were out Competing in DCA) G Force (folded but were out Competing in DCA) Mon Valley Express (Still Going, Stronger than ever AND competing in DCA) Dude....where in Western PA are you looking and NOT seeing someone trying to make Drum Corps work? Some of the Corps were more competitive than others, but they were all out there doing it. Most failed the test of time because they were trying to be SCA all over again. Some failed due to SCA problems coming back to haunt them. The big "E" esecially. Wait and see what the new kids on the block have to offer. We may un-depress you.
  9. John, that was 85. My first (and 2nd) Show back from Garfield. b**bs
  10. There was a draw for each show. Except for Manassas if you look at the schedule, Mon Valley is on first in every show we are in.
  11. 1986 and 87. Steel City Ambassadors Walt Street and Larry Tinnerman. The best in technical and visual music every way you put it. I have played with several great horn lines but few better than that one.
  12. Hey Jeff, Did you get the e mail I sent you about this? :sshh:
  13. Mon Valley will be having rehearsal this saturday! But, I think its a little far for you to come...... Honestly you might be closer coming from home.........
  14. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family in this time of sorrow, Jay.
  15. Dale, I was the one that called in and corrected that! I laughed when I heard it.
