  2. Well I hope Impulse can pull it off! I find myself on the same spot on my chair as you!
  3. Intermission right now. I think the champs will be the corps who have won semis, but anything can happen!
  4. Jersey Surf taking the field WOOOOOOOOOOT!
  5. Well I'm not in Madison but in Hilversum, so I can't tell you that much! Just wanted to make a topic for the excitement! Watching the DCI Cam now, Impulse still on the field :)
  6. I'm here and following the finals in all the ways possible, who's with me? Should be exciting how the div 3's stack up between the big div 2's!

Would be cool though, I love BDB :)
  9. Thank you, I was going to say the exact same, but you got the facts right too :) I wish Jubal all the best tonight!
  10. I really don't have a clue about your football-season :P But our season is from May (mostly the last saturday in May) until the end of September, mostly the last saturday in September but this season is an exception as DCUK planned their finals for this saturday so DCE decided to give the UK corps perform at both champpionships and host it a week earlier then normal. Most of the corps take a few weeks off in the summer, then start practicing very hard in mid-august to come out strong in September. And it's about time we begin because I already gained a few pounds while doing nothing! Can't wait to hit the field!
  11. That's look like a solid score for Spokane Thunder. Can't wait for tonight scores to see even more excitement before we roll into finals week!
  12. My first drumcorps show was the DCH show in Almere, Holland in 1999. I didn't really know what drumcorps was, I just joined the corps because my brother and sister were in their too, I was 8 back then. I didn't marched the show yet because I had to learn the basics first, so I wandered around and watched some shows but I can't really remember what I thought of it, only I will never forget seeing a uniformed corps for the first time doing their thing on the field, that was the first thing I saw there when we got out of the bus, and I thought it looked real neat. Cadet Class 1 Jong Beatrix 65.900 Corps Style 1 Jong Holland 38.000 Open Class 1 Juliana 54.200 2 West Coast Sound 46.000 3 Starriders 41.700 4 Joint Adventure 32.100
  13. I can still remember OC getting D3 champs in 04, the year after choosed to accept more members and move up to D2, they didn't get really high and now they're getting real good again and might get the title in D2 if they really do their best. Man must be cool for a corps to accomplish this much in 3 years, I already want to congratulate them, and go show some cool stuff in Madison!
  14. After yesterday's scores, I think the WOW moment might come from Oregon. Too bad I live in Europe, I would've loved to see these shows.
  15. In this pre-season with my corps I learned that marching shows for crowds actually makes you a lot better, gives you confidence in performing the particular show you have. A show every two days from now until Madison will give a corps time to rehearse (especially when they don't travel too long every day) and it will also give the members confidence to grow in their product with the changes because they perform and get boost out of the crowd to rehearse bad-### hard for Madison. Even if we didn't have rehearsal but two shows in a row, after those two shows we had a corps which was way better then before those two, so I think performing makes better and gives energy to rehearse very VERY hard.
  16. For all the percussionists out here, and because I dig the picture B)
  17. It's vacation for most of the drumcorps in Europe, most of them start rehearsing in the end of August to come out strong in September. To do something against the boredom I thought we could do some DCEurope Finals Predictions Here are mine: Open Class 1. Beatrix 2. Senators 3. Jubal 4. Northern Star 5. Black Knights 6. Juliana 7. Kidsgrove Scouts 8. Wölper Löwen 9. Jong Holland 10. Federatieband 11. Starriders 12. Distant Thunder 13. DAP 14. 6th Hove Scouts 15. Fidele Vogelsanger 16. Willem Eggert 17. Southwest Union 18. DIO Percussion Class 1. DrumSpirit 2. Rhythm Stars 3. Götebörg 4. Harpe Davids Cadet Class 1. Jong Jubal 2. Jong Beatrix 3. Jong Avalance 4. Jong DAP What are your thoughts?
  18. Not for the title, but for some corps ahead of them: Bones! Watch out B)
  19. Someone on here said that the Crossmen show of this year is how he thought that VK would be if they were still around, so yes, I think if VK goes with the time and still make an entertaining program that is accepted in 2007 they will do fine.
  20. Drill doesn't have to be fast to LOOK fast, If you march the drill like it is written, so if you have 16 counts to get to your set, you take 16 counts and tap your set exactly and then move straight on, the crowd will notice a sort of figure out there which moves on directly, that is how you create fast and smooth drill. Not by marching a 16 count set in 12 counts. It's the smoothness which makes it look fast, and if you don't perform that well, it immediately looks slower.
  21. I saw to vids of the drumline, and YEAH, they're smoking ^0^
  22. Thanks, nice review! I'm furious to know how these corps stack up on the DCEurope Finals in september B)
