Uh - am I suddenly a Cadet "Nay-sayer" - just five minutes ago I was a Cadet "borg" My - how things change around here so quickly!! :P BTW - I think 10 will happen too / but it will take work. There's a bunch of really great corps on the field this summer working just as hard to make sure it stays 9 If it happens - well then "This I Believe" - it will be well-earned through hard work & talent.

i am shocked the opening lasted this long / not effective IMHO the closing/tag whatever they do with the ending is crucial to the show - which suddenly stops right now - I had heard what they were *thinking* about doing and I am actually glad its changed the change to the end of blue shades is welcome - again / a "thud" of an ending shortening the narration in general is a positive - as short and sweet to be effective as possible my biggest gripe is the whole "I didn't fit in in HS" - it's a downer - lets keep the "This I Believe" positive and uplifting. I am glad that is being changed - hoping for a new narrator for that segment actually

what I guess I believe you are missing is that when the "other" corps clean their visual over the next weeks and get their feet sorted out it should HELP their music big time / clean feet in time equals clean music not sure exactly why BD has such spotless feet and yet can't execute the book clean unless they are a fourth place horn line - which I believe they might be this year guard is not clean but IMO will finish no higher than third - not a strong outing by the top two (normally) guards this year - Cadets & BD - so we will likely see another corps win that caption title this season

I'm telling you - BD is cleaner than Cadets & Cavaliers, even the next four corps. They have a good shot at winning since they are in the lead right now - but IMO as other corps clean at least one and possibly three will overtake BD. I could be wrong & I am only going on my own experience and pair of eyes and ears - but that's what I think. Glaring BD weakness - show just drops off the cliff after the opener. IMHO

If you are referring to the CONSTANT Cadet bashing (a show changes thread that instantly turns into bashing the corps about narration & a loan) well - then yes - we've heard it enough already. It's nuts and it needs to end.

ehh - it's ok. Leaves the crowds kinda flat. Boring after the opener IMHO Performed VERY well right now - so not sure where the "cleaning" will come from Personally I see them finishing in third in Pasadena.

the Colts, Blue Stars & Academy match-up should be really interesting!

So - where you there??? In my opinion - I thought they were underscored and should have beat Boston. Musicality + show design respects it wasn't even close imo. BK really impressed me and the folks I was with. Very solid drum corps.

can't have it both ways man - either we allow inflammatory threads or we don't Re: Academy - they are VERY good - you can certainly tell who is commenting on the corps without seeing them live. Performance level is amazing with some obvious areas to improve on over the next couple weeks. Finalist status is a certainty. & if I were the corps parked in 12th I would be watching my back: Blue Stars are coming to get you. IMHO

They did but they also marched a snare, two guard (I think) and a horn hole tonigt plus unlike the Cavaliers + BD they have not put their tag ending on yet. They will be fine. BD was best tonight IMHO. Cavaliers still don't march enogh with the horns up. Drives me nuts. Regiment was pretty ragged. Crown + Coats very polished, SCV very energized but still dirty ensemble

You could hang meat in the Alamodome - its freezing in here!! I have my coat on!! DM marching on now. Corpw were very good tonight top to bottom - crowd liked Crown best + Cavaliers out of the top group. SCV also got a lot of love here in San Antonio!!

Having actually been there - These look extremely accurate. I left before the scores were announced but I had Academy second only to BK but imo Crossmen were closer to Spirit than the scores / could have seen them either way.probably because Spririt had a very dull outing today - no energy. Academy is the real deal - I was extremely impressed. From the first note they reek of "finalist" No "gift" guys - they are VERY good. All the vets around me were blown away by those guys.

Crowd a little flat for Southwind after the last two corps. No energy in the stands. They sound really nice though!

XMEN guard memeber on the field - hoping they will be ok!
