Really? I was going to get BD, Cavies, Crown and maybe Coats, but after downloading the devils show I thought it sounded awful. Like a recording of the pit and if you listen closely you can sorta make out a hornline behind them. I didn't even bother with the rest.

My impression from being at the SA show was out of the top three BD had by far the most engaging opener. The crowd response after the space cords was incredible. And I feel they also had the most inspiring ending to their show. I think the ballad is fine and sounds great in person, but after the ballad the show drifts of into what seems like filler. The stengths and weakness of this show remind me A LOT of their 2003 Phenomenon of cool show.

Great review mate. I just got home from the show and being there live has changed my perception of these shows. I feel the placements were actually pretty right on. 1-devils 2-cavies 3-cadets. All three are so freakin good it's amazing. the thing that surprised me the most was after watching the cadets I noticed how much 'better' BD and Cavs covered the field and they seem to have better over all staging. The Cadets by comparison seemed to have it's horn line clumped together toward the middle of the field for the most part. over all, however the cadets marching ability is amazing and it's entirely possible they may win the championship from shear talent. The Cavaliers have a very enjoyable show that, IMO, just needs a more awe inspiring ending. A contender for sure. Man they carry themselves well. Impressive... The blue devils play, preform and execute like they believe they are the best, and it shows. With a killer opener and an inspiring closer I just don't see them falling a million places like everyone here seems so certain they will. Now if they could just spice up the middle part of their show... I just can't get over how may great shows there are this year. Phantom, Bluecoats, Crown, Vanguard all floored me with exceptional shows. All I can say is that I feel privileged to be preformed to by all the corps competing tonight. Thank you all!

Couldn't agree more. They let you know exactly what you were getting before you signed up. It is an exellent deal. However, I too would like to see every show that was broadcast live be availble on demand latter. since this is DCI's first stab at this program prehaps it would only take POLITE feedback from Platinum members to perswade DCI to make this change for next season. All is all I'm very happy that this program is avalible. Thank you DCI.

HERE HERE! couldn't agree more Yes, I agree with you, but it seems the problem is always the sound being too loud and NOT too soft. let's count how many complaints that are on this forum about the pit not being loud enough...... anyone? like stated above, it's not rocket science. it's obviously too loud, but it seems no one is making an attempt to adjust the volume to a lower level.

this boggles my mind! over amped pits... why is it happening??? it such a obvious unbalance in sound. are staff members afraid to tell the person in charge of the amplification to turn his stuff down? don't want to hurt feelings? it should never be a pit show with back up horns and drums. <**>
