  1. I felt that Colts had a better show than Crossmen tonight, I actually thought they had them beat.
  2. One thing to consider about taking a year off. I decided to take a year off and then march my age out year, the problem was the corps I marched was Star of Indiana and the year I took off was 1993 . You always need to consider the fact that when you are ready to come back after that year off, your corps might not be there.
  3. If you are referring to Bobby's salute, it was not a nazi salute it was a Roman salute.
  4. 1. Blue Devils 2. Holy Name Cadets 3. The Cavaliers 4. Carolina Crown (I believe that places 2-4 will be within .5 point, my hope is that it will go Crown, Holy Name Cadets, The Cavaliers, but I don't think that will happen.) 5. Santa Clara Vnguard 6. Bluecoats 7. Blue Stars 8.Boston Crusaders 9. Phantom Regiment 10. Blue Knights 11. Glassmen 12. Troopers
  5. Yes it was the first year that Star marched 16 contras, I forget the exact number, but they did have more than 12 in 86 for close encounters but it was only for that piece. Also, Ray was one of the sixteen contras in 92.
  6. I wear mine a couple of times a month, of course I couldn't wear it for many years. It seems that the darn thing shrunk and then it grew again. Or was it that I grew and am now shrinking?
  7. Name: John Minton Gender: Male What age were you when you marched: 17-19 What age are you now: 35 Which instrument did you march/play: Contra Which corps is you favorite (besides your own): Carolina Crown What is your (intended) college major/degree in: B.A. in Pastoral Ministry Which corps did you march with: Star of Indiana What years: 1990, 1991, 1992 Why did you join drum corps: I loved marching and wanted to see if I could push myself far enough to make it. What was your best experience: Having the Championship medal hung around my neck on retreat in Dallas, TX in 1991. Do you intend to continue to support DCI after you retire from competition: I try to when I can.
  8. For those that knew George, I thought you would like to know that his mother Mae passed away on Sunday in Las Vegas after a brief hospitalization, She was 90.
  9. Someone may have already mentioned this, I did not read all 72 pages, but I found this on the DCI site. Cadets penalty dropped
  10. I guess I knew when we came off the field and the entire horn line was in tears from being emotionally drained.
  11. Donnie was with them at Lexington. I was able to stand in their arc and they sounded great, Matt is doing a great job.
  12. 1992 Star of Indiana, we were at Preview of Champions at Nashville TN, as we began the closer I fuzzed out and began to play the contra part that we had recently cut .
  13. Star 93, I took this year off to work thinking I would come back and march my ageout year
