Folks, We've been through this before with "Cowtown". You will all learn that his "hard feelings" toward Star stem from him once being dumped (or shunned) by one of the young ladies in the Star guard. Don't believe it? Look around for some of his posts on this subject and see for yourself!! Oh and by the way, Cowtown. If Star ever does come out with an Alumni Corps, please feel free to get up and GTFO of the stadium. There will be plenty of people around you who will be glad you did!! I agree. They seemed to be fighting each other during Candide. Just didn't gell. I did spend they morning with Crown and watched rehearsal. That is, until the weather hit and rehearsal was called. Candide was better in rehearsal than at the show. The staff told me that they have not had much of a chance to do much ensemble work on the opener due to weather over the past few days. But, when they do get Candide locked in, this will be a show to hear. Great sound and LOTS of volumn!!!! Tony

I cannot believe that I just read this whole thread. However, I will say that I agree with the above post!! It's VERY obvious that the OP is not in the least concerned about the differences in anything. He/She is only interested in their own opinion. Good lord, the differences in DC and MB have been stated numerous times and all the OP does is look down their nose and dismiss all other opinions. But, there is one difference that nobody mentioned. I know what you mean. It was fun marching beside Scooter my one year with Star. He was and is a great player. By the way Scooter, it's alittle late, but I really enjoyed playing beside you again in the Alumni Corps. Brought back alot of great memories. Heck, it was great just to play with everyone again. You can't REALLY believe that you can give a year-by-year smashing of all things Star and not have Star alums get alittle antsy, can you? As has already been said, if you give that kind of "opinion", at least man-up and take the heat. I have no problem with someone not liking Star, heck, there is one corps out there that I really have no love for and if I posted the crap that you did, I would be surprised if I wasn't corrected. Noone said that you have to "drink the Star coolaide", but have the nuts to take what you dish out. Oh and about being dissed by a member of our guard. Let it go, get over it, go on with life.
