  2. I had the privilege of standing right smack in front of warm up last night in Mississippi....UNBELEIVABLE!!
  3. All's good here. In no way did I mean to say that you did any of the 'booing". And, the year that I marched with Star (87), I don't remember any boo's. Afterall, who would boo a circus, right? lol All the best. Tony
  4. It's interesting that you use Star's home show as an example of them not getting booed. Of course, they were applauded at the Bloomington show. Also, as an alum, I attended the 92 Preview of Champions show in Nashville, Tenn. The crowd that night was "less than thrilled" with Star winning that show. In fact, as I was walking back to my car that night wearing my corps jacket, I was even booed. But hey, I guess they were just booing the designers of my jacket. Right? Tony
  5. Bet you wish you could have fit "Big Jeffery", huh? Sorry, just couldn't resist.... Tony

  9. Scooter, I also remember the grandmother doing that at the Rockford show. I guess we blew heer hearing aids out.....lol I was also at the 92 Preview show in Nashville, and I do remember some rude comments from the people around me. I just figured they were jeolous and tried to let it go. Tony
  10. I'm more that just a little biased, but the Fanfare from the 1987 Star of Indiana show was pretty loud. Tony

  12. I watched rehearsal today (July 13). There were 28 holes due to sickness. Lead mello's were hardest hit. The corps worked very hard and still sounded extremely good. However, you could tell that many who were on the field did not feel well. Here is hoping for a speedy recovery. tony
  13. Maybe we should request that it be closed. Do I have a 2nd?? Tony
  14. Brian Soules.......merciless.......are you kidding me???? He was my seat partner in 1987 in Star. Or course, he was quite young then.. Seriously, Brian is a great guy and a great teacher. Tony
  15. A wise man once said, "He who farteth in Church must sit in his own pew......" Tony
  16. Stu Stu, Cadets guard was stuck in the tunnel along side of us. Had a nice conversation with one youg lady and I can't even remember her name. (that was quite a while ago, though.lol) Anyway, I loved your show that year!! Tony Taylor

  18. Waiting on Cowtown......... He'll be here any minute now. He can smell a Star thread from a mile away.... Oh about the topic. Who knows. But it would have been nice to have been able to see how many Star would have won. Tony Taylor
  19. Anyone remember the 1987 DCI Midwest Finals in St. Louis? I DO! We were standing in the tunnel waiting to go on. Scouts were on the field when the bottom fell out. They finished their show but the rest of the night was cancelled. It took all we could do not to get washed down the tunnel. The water was FLOWING!!! later, tony taylor
