didn't see a response for this one --- isn't he a reporter though?? He has made over 1000 posts in a little over 2 months since he joined DCP. I think it said something like 15.4 posts per day

Really though, he seems like a huge fan, and that is great. I wish when I was just starting to get into drum corps that I had the access to recordings/technology etc. of today.

Yeah, well, it's summer and I don't have a bloody thing to do; so I just kind of wander around here most of the day. If you were a drum corps fan in a nothing town, you'd do the same thing :D

Tick system....it's hands down BD 82.

Non-tick system....well....BD 86.

Both corps, total power and sheer domination over their competition.

I keep a list of placements of the top 25 corps (later 21) since the inception of DCI. It's a misnomer that Cadets call themselves the "Corps of the 80s". Cadets were second best in that decade. "Corps of the 80s" title belongs to the Santa Clara. SCV was also the corps of the 70s. Now the 90s belong to Cadets (sans Star who only performed for 3 years) and, so far, Cavies are the corps of the '00.

Strangely enough BD is the "Corps of ALL DCI".

This was a great era, and there were a lot of awesome shows that didn't win:

Santa Clara '87

Blue Devils '88

Phantom Regiment '89 (Actually just about any Phantom show in the late '80s totally rocked [and I even liked Spartacus, too!])
