  1. 1. Which of these is the best success story of the 2007 summer games?

    • Crown's dramatic improvement in percussion.
      24
    • Bluecoats' firm grasp on the brass title.
      29
    • Academy's strong debut in Division 1 competition.
      28
    • Trooper's return to action.

    • Half a dozen corps viciously fighting for the last spot on Finals night.

You can't say that the Troopers return to D1 and Academy's rise in the ranking have not been great stories so far.

Without a doubt and two weeks until Semis., having 4-6 corps going for 11th and 12th and the Saturday night show will make this year something to talk about for years!

I have a hard time being surprised by Crown. They have been in the rise the past few years. Their design team has been stable overall, and areas of weakness were improved in the off-season (e.g., percussion). I expected they would be strong this year. Kind of surprising that anyone would expect otherwise.

Personally, Academy's strong showing and the huge battle from 10th to 17th to me are the greatest success stories.

Bluecoats have always had a good hornline. The fact that judges are rewarding it finally is no success story, cept maybe for DCI brass judging.

Crown's success in show design was a great one. As successful as their percussion may be, they are not, IMO, what is pushing this corps to the top.

Every corps that enters Div. 1 competition has one main goal in mind: turn some heads. Academy did just that. Gratz to them.

I think the Troopers rise in power was the most shocking success story this summer so far. I am happy to see this corps on the right direction. Can't wait to see where they go from here.

Because no other corps this ENTIRE summer has gone down in score. nope. not once. just madison. they're done for. might as well fold right now, i mean really, they went down over a point. time to pack the bags and quit trying.
