Triple Forte
There's a recent thread dealing with the "best music arrangers of all time," which for the most part has generated postings regarding horn arrangers. How about the drum guys? With apologies to anyone whom I have overlooked (and I know there are more than a few great ones out there), here's a list of 10 heavyweights to get things started:Dennis Delucia Tom Float Thom Hannum Ralph Hardimon Marty Hurley Larry McCormick Charlie Poole Fred Sanford Jerry Schellmar Bobby Thompson Who are your favorites? regards, Fred O. Tom Aungst (Cadets).........Period........
Jeffe77
Jim Casella Jim Casella arranges for both the battery and the pit unlike most drumline arrangers. Go back and listen to SCV 96-04 shows and the 06-07 cavies. Good stuff. By the way, the ABC/ESPN college football promo music was composed by Jim Casella Edited September 18, 2007 by Jeffe77
DanjrusMcRynky
I like Murray Gusseck and Jim Casella. Paul Rennick is really good too, however I feel that his last 5 books for phantom have sounded almost exactly the same. Good formula, but a formula, nonetheless. I'm not familiar with Brett Kuhn's work. Where did he write and when?
Tom D'Bomb
Al Murray Kenny Brooks Tim Stodd
