Allen Buell
As 2008 approaches the Empire Statesmen are moving full speed ahead with the preparations for this special 25th Anniversary year. Continuing on as the top two administrators for the Organization will be David Bruni as Assistant Director and Allen Buell as Business Manager. Jerry Kelsey / Brass, Colin McNutt / Percussion & Peter Garrow / Colorguard all return as lead designers for their particular sections. We are very excited to announce the addition of Pete Weber to the Statesmen design team. Pete will join the Statesmen team as our drill designer for the 25th anniversary show. Pete has designed drill for the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps, the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps, and most recently the Santa Clara Vanguard where he continues his creations today. He has been designing drill and coordinating visual programs for nationally recognized programs since 1995. He will be a wonderful addition to the team! After taking a few years off and touring with SJU during the past few DCI seasons as their Brass Caption Head, we are excited to welcome Jim Steele back to the organization once again. Jim will take on the roll as our Brass Caption head. With all the major players in place we are continuing with very exciting plans for the coming year. The Empire Statesmen have been exciting audiences for 25 years now and we plan to do the same in the summer of 2008. All are welcome to attend our open house which is set for the weekend of Saturday & Sunday, November 24th and 25th in Rochester, NY. See our website at www.statesmen.org for more information or to fill out an online application. More news to come soon! Empire Statesmen / America’s Entertainers for 25 years! topsops
Is Empire still going to do 'DREAM GIRLS' like they announced in the past? Or will they play some of the old favorites from their past? Complete with a color-pre! That would be cool, if done right. Lets hear about it.
