Hrothgar15
Cadets 1995 is probably my third favorite show of all time, but should it have won? I don't think so. Same with Phantom Regiment 1978; incredible show but Vanguard deserved the championship.

BD Raggamuffin
Alright let's talk about some OTHER years. What are some shows which you'd dub as "championship" caliber shows/performances but did not win?IF YOU TALK ABOUT 2007 I WILL SLICE YOUR HEAD OFF 2006 - Phantom Regiment and maybe Blue Devils 2005 - 2004 - Blue Devils 2003 - The Cavaliers and not so much the Cadets but (it could possibly be the cleanest 3rd place show I've ever seen) 2002 - 2001 - Blue Devils and The Cadets 2000 - Blue Devils (though they were up against 2 monster corps) 1997 - The Cadets by far 1996 - 1995 - Blue Devils 1994 - 1993 - Star of Indiana 1992 - The Cadets by far 1991 - The Cavaliers 1990 - Star of Indiana by far. 1989 - Phantom Regiment 1987 - Phenomenal Santa Clara Vanguard I was wondering if this is supposed to be a thread about shows that SHOULD have won and did not, or just great shows that got beat by other great shows? For example, I think that '84 BD was a championship caliber show/performance, but Garfield was just too amazing and innovative to not win. Then there are years that i would have picked a different winner altogether (which I won't name because I think it is wrong to do so-just my opinion...) :)
G-Rott
I would like to agree with: 1990/1993 Star 1989 Phantom and add: 1985 Vanguard

FieldofBlueDreams
The one that comes to mind right away is blue devils 04. What an incredible hornline!

I have been told several times that if it had been any other year we WOULD'VE won...and in fact, Garfield thought they'd lost! It hurt at the time, of course, but at least i got beat by an all time classic!
