I figure talking about one guards movement doesn't fully capture our views on movement in relation to the activity as a whole so if possible and without a huge blow up, lets discuss it.

Questions if you want to answer some (just for the heck of it)

Which guards movement do you like?

Why?

Do you like to dance?

Have you taught movement and would like to share your thoughts on teaching methods?

How much movement is needed in a show? What is too much?

What do you think are must have skills to develop a good group of movers?

What about the evolution of dance since the first years of WGI?

Patriots World (2002 was brilliant)

Pride of Cincinnati: 02, 03, 07 (That 03 soloist who comes across the floor towards the end I THINK during the Margaret Cho monologue does the best Leap (grand jete) EVER!)

Kennesaw Mountain

I like groups that take a very lyrical, elegant approach with lots of lift in the upper body and great nuance. The tall, thin, blond dance soloist from Kennesaw Mountain '06 is one of my favorite performers. I believe they called her "Twinkles."

i love the work of michael james,he has produced choreography for the phantom regiment,the knights and others.his dances are lryical and very expressive.

i love dance and living in chicago i see as much as possible with the new harris theater minutes away i am afforded a fantastic array of companies to choose from.national and international companies swing through here all the time and i take full advantage of their visits.i never miss the alvin ailey company and les ballet de trokadero is next month[i adore them].

btw,if you haven't already,you must see "rize" a documentary film about dance by artist david lachapelle.

i am in awe of what todays performer are accomplishing,it's truly amazing.

i would like to see other styles of dance utilized and implimented into todays programs.

my motto is "dance while you can"!

opus 10 [from the denver co. area]formerly known as oracle[robb billings=blue knights drum corps] were renowned for their attention to choreography and beautiful movement,i believe that most all of their members study privately and their dedication to dance is noteworthy.
