And I love their uniforms....are they Cesario collection?

No, actually they are state issued. We love the visual affect we get from the black and white stripes. Just wish the shackles and chains on the members' legs didn't limit their step size so much.

Speaking of visual effects...I love that "sparkling" effect the guard produces when they spin those freshly stamped license plates under the stadium lights...their visual staff is GENIUS!

And I liked Brand X better the years they marched in Orange...but the striped uniforms did grow on me....was never a fan of the khaki version though

Brand X’s Christmas party was a total disaster. It was suppose to be a fundraiser for local area music programs, but no money was raised. It seems that the hall they rented, was not available. They had sold tickets to the event and put up lots of posters before securing the hall. The hall had been rented already for a private party. Brand X refused to cancel the event and decided to hold the event in the parking lot. The halls management rejected this idea and called police to remove the Corps from the parking lot. Brand X was charged with trespassing and was fined $10,000 and the corps director is expected to perform 80 hours of community service. The fine has sent the board of directors into a panic. If they have to pay this fine, they will not field a corps next year. The other fundraiser, selling medical marijuana has not yielded any profits. In fact it is loosing money, since most of the members have not sold any of the marijuana and can’t find their portion. Things don’t look good for Brand X.

And DCI doesn't care about the smaller corps. Why won't DCI prevent great corps like Brand X from folding?

hmmm....not many people need 'Legal' marijuanna, of course its not going to do so well. not the best choice as far as fundraisers. They'd do better selling Vicadin(spell?) or Morphine because more people legaly use those. if they wanna stay in the dangerous part of the medical field.

One of the judges, that put Brand X’s horn line in last place, has been missing ever since that show. Investigators have questioned several members of the staff, but no arrests have been made. Several of the members are facing assault charges, stemming from the fights during retreat, but none of the cases have been decided yet. Brand X has refused to comment on the accusations, due to the ongoing legal investigations.

I heard there drum major chased down mickey mouse when they didn't get the spirit of disney award for they're "A meth dealer suite" show.

And the reason Brand X hasn't folded is because of the "indentured servants" that have to march for them. Seems like another year for BX.

Any new updates on the progress that BX has made for the 2008 season?

Well, it appears that the funding issues have been addressed for 2008. The failed venture into selling "medical" marijuana has been abandoned, and then the corps faced even bigger liabilities as they had to pay for all the Twinkies and Suzy Q's that were mysteriously delivered to the members. But all that financial woe is behind them now as the corps has gone back to it's roots: extorting "protection" money from their residential neighbors (as in "pay us and we'll protect you from having 30 horns blare through your bedroom window at 3am).

The bigger issue facing the corps at the moment is one of recruitment. The entire bass line has entered the witness protection program and is therefore not available to march this year. Not that the rest of the corps would share a field with those "$%*@&$% stoolies" anyway -- but it does leave a hole in the battery, which is strange because "battery" was always one of the corps traditional strengths ......
