BeachDrums
Hi All, I thought it might be interesting and possibly useful for many of us if we shared the best advice we received as it relates to our drum corps performance. It could be anything: how you learned to improve trumpet tone, tips on how you enhanced your showmanship, advice that helped you to spin sevens more consistently (please guard, love to hear from you, too), etc. Any advice you received that is drum corps show performance related that really helped you shine brighter as a performer on the field. soccerguy315
don't suck (someone had to say it, eh?)
silvertrombone
don't suck(someone had to say it, eh?) Yeah, but did it have to be the first one? j/k. Good line. No advice, really. If staff is clueless there's no helping you when you step off. If staff knows how to manage move-in's and spring camps and optimize rehearsal time, everything should be fine. Repetition and a good show design usually take care of things. At that point its a matter of maturity of the corps and bias of the judges! Krista
-Drink water (but not too much!) -take a performance multi vitamin -remember that bad days will happen, injuries happen, you just gotta keep pushing, and you can do it!

mellodramatic
Always think that a corps you admire is checking you out.
nothingbetter
Don't think about the tough move 5 sets from now. Think about what you're supposed to be doing that exact moment.
