They've always waited a long time to release details about the show. It gives people less time to decide if they like it or not before even seeing it.

Here's the thing. ISPs have a monopoly in pretty much any given market. If you have Comcast where you live, you almost certainly don't have Time Warner or any other options. If there was competition, then great, but there isn't. It doesn't help that Time Warner and Comcast (the two biggest by far) are in cahoots and want to merge. Currently ISPs are a utility (monopoly) without the regulation to prevent abuse of power.
