McDutchy
Keep in mind that these are all predictions and are probably going to be wildly off base. Realistic: 1. Blue Devils - Hopefully they go back to Jazz. If they can continue this year's visual performance, they'll have this down. 2. Phantom Regiment - Spartacus will be good for the corps. 3. Cadets - Good? Check. 4. SCV - Better than last year, but still not quite there. 5. Bluecoats - They'll get better, but so will everyone else. 6. Cavies - The jitters from last season will continue. 7. Crown - Same as Bluecoats. Expect 4,5,6 to be just as contested as they were this year. 8. Madison - Getting back (close) to where they belong. 9. Academy - Biggest surprise of the year. They'll be good. 10. Blue Knights - Expect same type of hornline. It will be detrimental to their placement. 11. Colts - Why not? 12. Spirit - They've been here for the past couple of years, and I don't see an improvement. 13. Blue Stars - Again, see Spirit. 14. Boston - Just outperformed by other groups. 15. Troopers - Getting better, but not there yet. Look for them to break top 12 in 2009. 16. Crossmen - They really have good stuff, but it's not always performed well. 17. Glassmen 18. Cascades 19. Pacific Crest 20. Mandarins 21. hboyce
1. Blue Devils 2. Phantom Regiment 3. Cavaliers 4. Crown/Cadets 5. Cadets/Crown I think Cadets will try for an even harder program this year than last. People will enjoy it despite the controversy, but it will be just too difficult to achieve to stay in the top three. I think Crown would have drawn a lot of talent because of their fan favorite show in 07 and with a largely unchanged staff will move up in ranking. Probably stay there for a couple of years and then drop back off to the bottom 8. Jeff Fiedler stepping down won't hurt the Cavaliers, but it won't exactly help them. Talented corps, but I see the show either not making sense to most, or leaving much to be desired by most. Phantom Regiment doing something that is Phantom Regiment. Fans will love it and the crowd response will give the corps the strength it needs to pass by the Cavaliers in the last couple of weeks in the season. Blue Devils coming off of a championship in their home state prove that it wasn't California politics. With a strong staff that has been together for years and music that I feel is more accessible, Blue Devils will win the judges the fans and the ring. thirdcoast
Kinda like BD always winning in years that end in 6?Oh wait... Predictions are useless. And 7-12 is pretty much a crapshoot anyway. So I'll predict the top 6. Not because I only care about them, but because those are the only corps you can predict with reasonable consistency. 1. Cadets 2. Phantom 3. BD 4. Cavies 5. Coats 6. Crown 7. SCV These are probably wrong. Always taking the easy way out. You are a diffrent cat. Ill watch Quarter Finals from 2007 tonight and put mine down. Sorry your in top 8 Vill, alot of great compitition below BLUECOATS.JASON

noduttingoutloud
dude, you predicted the top 7, not 6. Kinda like BD always winning in years that end in 6?Oh wait... Predictions are useless. sburstall
I can't give an opinion since 1) there has been pre-season reports out of any camps (meaning no music) and 2) what's the drill like? Hard to base any kind of opinion on just a show title.
