How about the empty table represents the emptiness of the soul in a world gone rampant with wild consumerism while the rocking chair represents the comfort of childhood naiveté revisited. The thought of Jacob in that cabin in a rocking chair jumped into my mind. Though, I may just be obsessed with LOST. Loved the show! No flags... Awesome!
