BostonCrusaders
The Boston Crusaders are currently seeking trombone and baritone players to fill the last remaining lead baritone spots for the 2008 hornline. Interested applicants should email "brass at crusaders d0t com" and be prepared to demonstrate appropriate proficiency in both musical and visual captions. Not a baritone player, but still interested in marching with a World Class corps? Contact us to see if there's a spot for you! CoastGuard
Having a few open spots in brass lines is not the end of the world. It seems like many of the corps.....top 7 excluded....are still looking for brass players. With the increase to 150 members, many of the top teams are expanding their hornlines to 72 or even 80 which is taking some of the players off the market at this point. Also, the top teams have not made their final cuts, which means even more players will be available as the cuts are made. The bottom line is this: with the cost of membership, it is getting harder and harder to find performers that can not only afford to pay the dues, but also give up the 3 months of potential earnings from a summer job.
