LSU GRAD 82
I was listening to an old Blue devils recording the other day and Dindy came on, that is now one of m all time favorite songs, who else has a favorite? SamBandrea Swing. (Or is it SanBamdrea?) Cavaliers played it in late 70's/early 80's. I brought a recording of the Cavies playing it to a staff meeting and we wound up playing it at LSU. Turned out to be the favorite song of the year. Also, ALL the Spanish/Latin stuff that everybody is mentioning. You know, all the good stuff that is against the law to play in DCI today......... Bob J
I'm seeing a lot of stuff here that the Stan Kenton Orchestra played. Would be an interesting list to compile. Maleguena, La Suerto, MacArthur Park, Send in the Clowns...
JeromeyBush
Abstatutelly!!!! I taught the Bridgemen "Da Beer Song" at the last camp, so the tradition lives on. Maybe we can all get together at DCA and have a full chorus!!! I am sure that some will cry at my I and E entry on Saturday at DrumFest, but others will be rolling in the aisles when they realize what is happening live right in front of them. Sort of the "Stealth Piper" thingie, if yas know vat I meenzs!!!!! As you always said, "it is all about the accessories!!! " well played, the horn and the accessories, btw
