Jeff Ream
On a lovely Saturday morning, at the Monroe Community College parking lot, THE HAT was passed to one well versed in it's meanings and roots. With the onlookers of the Renegades percussion section, staff and the 7 birds flying above, I am proud to present the newest caretaker of this vaunted artifact:

The latest recipient of THE HAT most certainly exemplifies the high levels of devotion, dedication, and all-round lunacy that best personify THE HAT. When I look at the types and qualities of the people who've been recipients of THE HAT through the years, and realize that I've been one of them, it makes me proud. Perhaps we should schedule an annual breakfast at the DCA's to honor all past and present recipients of THE HAT. I'm sure the food fight would be something to behold. PennsylvaniaDCHOF
OUTSTANDING!!! The latest recipient of THE HAT most certainly exemplifies the high levels of devotion, dedication, and all-round lunacy that best personify THE HAT. Is that Mr. Rudnicki? When I look at the types and qualities of the people who've been recipients of THE HAT through the years, and realize that I've been one of them, it makes me proud. Yeah, I get a bit of a twinge myself. Scary thought isn't it? Perhaps we should schedule an annual breakfast at the DCA's to honor all past and present recipients of THE HAT. I'm sure the food fight would be something to behold. Great idea. And it might be appropriate that each and every former "Custodian" of "THE HAT" be present in order to greet and cast the first cream pie in the direction of the newest "Custodian". You don't suppose there's any connection....?
Jimbalaya
That musta been the reaction from the depths of Evilland, when hearing about how this new recipient has been recognized for stooping so low with his standards to become an icon in the HAT community......... Well done Jeff, the king is dead, Long live the king (Lee) Joe Now I hate to bring up scary thoughts, but shortly after I read this post and made my earlier comment, I went into the kitchen for another cup of coffee and heard a radio report of an earthquake in San Francisco last night. You don't suppose there's any connection....?
