I don't really care too much about drum corps being defined by the key of the horn, but I'm wondering how many now involved in drum corps have ever played on a G bugle.

Not asking which you think is better or worse. Which is louder or whatever. You can beat that dead horse some more if you want.

I just want to see how many posters have real experience with one or both. Now, if you've picked up a G bugle and played a scale on it, that doesn't count and vice versa.

Only G for me!

All bari for 3 years on 2 valves in the junior circuit (DEG, if I remember correctly) and for 2 years on 3 valves in the senior circuit (Kanstul).

Why did you decide to exclude to instruments in the key of C (modern day pit instruments/historical equivalents).

Well, I was just asking about horns. Like the kind they play on the field. Behind the pit. You blow into them.

However, I added the etc. because of the possibility of Eb, F, C or whatever other key horns may be used.
