DantheOldMan
3. Move up six spots in one season. (could be wrong on this one) I think Madison was 19th on June 28th, but finished 12th. That's 7 spots in one season. However, nice season Blue Stars. The additions made to the show were great. I enjoyed the show very much. joeb
The Blue Stars really did have an awesome year. However, it could have been much better if the drum scores were up to speed with the other captions. Looking over the scores for the past couple of years, the percussion has really weighed the corps down in terms of placement. The finals night score was a testament to that fact. It might be time that the corps considers parting ways with the current drum staff for a group that will get them to the next level. Just keep the Pearls or go back to Yamaha. WTF! get off the drum lines back.... Drummers are a dime a dozen. These kids for the most part were new to each other! C-mon do you have some sort of personal thing with the drum staff? THEY GOT 10th Remember FCO! it aint over Edited August 14, 2008 by joeb

Blue Stars drumline, along with the rest of the corps, has seen significant improvement each year since Brent and the team took over. Who can argue with that? That should not be overlooked just because the rest of the corps has improved significantly each year as well. When the drumline stalls out or takes a step back then there may be cause for concern, but I see no indication that it will happen. FCO. Did having only 4 basses have a negative impact on drum scores?
BozzlyB
Did having only 4 basses have a negative impact on drum scores? Not sure, although I'm sure it affected the feng shui (sp?) of the line for a while.
