kevingamin
There is Visual demand there (trust me, I've seen it up close). However, MCL has made a conscious decision to put music-first, visual-second. And I, for one, completely agree with it. I like that focus, myself. My worry, though, is that they may have tipped the scale too far in that direction. Again, they might make me shut up real fast.
kevingamin
Killer drum line to start the show!
keyp
WOW!!!! Now that's a smokin' drumline!
kevingamin
The opener is very mysterious sounding. Horns face backfield to start, move into a company front, then turn around for the first big hit. Could use more power on the hit, though. There we go, and after a lot of speed drill, too. keyp
The velocity written in the battery underneath the longer brass lines in "Signs" Is very exciting.
kevingamin
I am mesmerized by this drum line. They are just ramming out notes like you wouldn't believe, to the point where I can't pay attention to anything else at this point.
keyp
Batman Begins works really well on the field and comes across very sophisticated.
kevingamin
This music has a definite soundtrack feel to it, and I'm a fan of James Newton Howard's work, so this should be a fun show for me.
kevingamin
I believe this is the same selection from Batman Begins which Spirit used in their show this year. Very mysterious (again), and a great moment for the brass line to show off their phrase shaping ability.
kevingamin
Haven't had much in the way of impact from the brass line yet. They're much more subtle than MCL so far. Drum line's back, though, and they're all about the impact.
