WWBD
From Scott's Notebook By Scott Stewart, Director 2008 was a year of change, growth and transition for the Racine Kilties. We fielded the largest (112 performers at DCA) corps in the history of the organization and in many ways, the finest as well. The field show was conceived, produced and taught much earlier than usual. The improved commitment of the membership to excellence in rehearsal and every parade, concert and field show that the corps appeared in prompted many new and old followers of the activity to comment very favorably on the upward direction the corps had taken. This is not to say that the season was without its challenges, but the important thing to note here is that the challenges were met head on -- and solutions were found. For those that could not be solved during the season, we continue to work on now so that this year’s experience for the membership, the audiences and the those that come into contact with the Kilties for another reason will be even more positive in the new year. Here’s to a great 2008 -- and an even better 2009. Wea Winnea Bea Daunted, --Scott Opening weekend for the 2009 Kilties is fast approaching!!!
