fsubone
you mean delta, chevron is phantom regiment You know that a chevoron means any two lines that form an equal angle, with the point at the top... Not just one corps logo Edited January 13, 2009 by fsubone
K-Swiss
But Spirit's symbol is the delta. you know, like, river delta?
fsubone
True, but the words work the same... and I'd rather not get into arguing symantics on this forum
liebot
In Cadets 2000 before the company front the camera catches a guard girl doing some hand gesture that looks really odd to me. The Sammy Sosa sign? Is that what you're talking about. From 98-99 Sosa and McGwire were huge news, so I think they threw that in there as a pop culture tidbit. It's the little thing he does when he runs out to the outfield, or hits a home run, or whatever.
BoxVsop
True, but the words work the same... and I'd rather not get into arguing symantics on this forum tell a member of spirit that their corps logo that they hold so much pride in isnt a delta. tell them that the emblem they wear around their neck is a chevron and you dont want to argue semantics with them. see how that goes over. Pardon me while I go chase the kids off my lawn.

It is a Delta on Spirit's old uniform because when Spirit was formed in Atlanta Delta was one of their biggest sponsors at the time. It is a Delta. fsubone
Okay, it's a delta, it's their corps logo, I get it... Phantom's is a chevron, just trying to point out that a chevron and delta are the same basic geometric shape.... Wow, these things get off-topic fast.... K-Swiss
It's basically the same word, but soldiers don't put deltas on their shoulders. there is no such thing as the Mississippi River Chevron. geometric shape is one thing, usage is another As for getting off-topic, welcome to DCP
