Charlie "Boom Boom"
Top 3 (any order) BDB, Citations, Teal SoundNext 3 (any order) SCV Cadets, Revolution, Oregon Cruaders Next 3 (any order)Memphis Sound, Music City, Cap Regiment Next 3 (any order) Raiders, Yamato, Dutch Boy just outside, looking in Legends, Spartans, Velvet Knights almost a contender 7th Regiment, Colt Cadets Interesting analysis but theres no way Raiders fall to 10th or lower after finishing 9th last year and with the instructional staff additions this year. Will be an interesting season, no doubt. Edited January 7, 2009 by Charlie "Boom Boom"
kusankusho
Why is everybody always angry on DCP? Yes all of these are assumptions, none of this is supposed to be real. That's why these are PREDICTIONS and not FACTS.Geez, you people. Grow up! It's only a forum. Well - I of course looked at Dutch Boy before anyone and saw this: Dutch Boy - same numbers as last year but not as much talent ...and I thought "what would make you guess that, exactly?" And then I thought "what if some kids sees that and believes it and decides to audition someplace else?" So - no need for anger, but these threads are completely useless at this point in the year, possibly harmful, a bit disrespectful of some, probably over blown for others. IOW, why bother??? Nobody knows anything right now.
EndzoneEric
IOW, why bother??? Nobody knows anything right now. Young kids with too much time on their hands. They should step away from the keyboard and go outside and get dirty.
sizzlechoke
1. Oregon Crusaders- lots of momentum from last year, now with only BDB in there way. 2. Blue Devils B- Always a very strong program and will assuredly put a solid show on the field. They might be able to take it all. 3. Citations- Excellent visual program will take them here with harder drill and they need a stronger drumline 4. Raiders- Huge influx of talent and horns. The numbers were what they lacked previously. Now they have it. Paced by their drumline. 5. Revolution- Once again, excellent show designs and solid percussion. 6. Teal Sound- From what I've heard this is a building year for some reason. New percussion staff as well. But who knows. 7. SCV Cadets- Once again rebuilding year, however have the potential to go much higher easily. 8. Dutch Boy- This canadian corps will see tons of talent and should do well 9. Memphis- Very strong last year, and should improve 10. Legends- They proved themselves last year, and look for them to improve this year 11. Spartans- Can you honestly see them out of it for that long? 12. Yamato- If they are consistent they'll be in. Possibilities: VK, Cap Sound, Impulse
lindsey.paiva
Anyone predicting that the Spartans will not be in the top three after last year and with Tom Augnst there is a complete idiot. Just hope they leave narration/cheating off the field.

Just hope they leave narration/cheating off the field. Really? So anyone that does not think the Spartans will be in the top 3 is an idiot? That is a little much. Especially when you consider there will be BDB, SCV, Cap Reg, Oregon Crusaders, & Teal Sound (among others) will be at finals. That is a really strong cast of corps there.... Spartans could easily not finish in the top three.

Cap Reg always put people to sleep, except Kathy Kerrins the judge who is always judging with frosted and jelly donuts during their performance. Teal Sound is big for the division creating a lot of tick possibilities, so one tick and judges will follow throughout. You forgot to mention Citations, that has all of Spartans old staff, but can not handle tough competition.

Open Class (or div II/III) Has always been a tossed salad as you never know what's going to come out on top... which is what I really like about it. SCVC has always brought together a strong corps, no matter what year... BDB only within the last few years have they put together a championships caliber program as they are doing more and more national touring. Teal Sound and OC I think have very strong backings and will continue their way up the DCI ladder. Dutch Boy has also been improving a lot within the past few years and as long as they have the numbers, they should compete well... VK too. Raiders and Yamato have the talent and are strong... all they need are numbers to fill their ranks. Spartans, Revolution, Impulse and MS need to show consistency in their staff and administration for me to see them in the top 12. not as familiar with the other corps. HardCorp
even though they have been averaging 12-13 brass per camp/rehearsal again this year???
