Galen
And finally, The Cosmonauts would LOVE a show in the Motherland. Russia, ahoy! Imagine Russia in winter. A lot of flat horns! And I recommend Lokomotiv Stadium in Moscow. Rule #1: Never attend a drum corps show in Russia in the winter!

Chris Rohn
Here's how I see the "skeleton" of the tour mapping out so far. Remember- this is all tenative.Weeks 1-3: Regional tour (extended from 2 weeks from the last few seasons) Weeks 4-5: "Global tour" (Europe, Canada/Alaska, Latin America). Weeks 6-7: States, 2 focus shows, probably focusing on 1-2 regions exclusively, either East/West or Midwest/West. Week 8: Finals week Will there still be a limited US tour (central US?) while everyone else is global? There are some local corps that do not have the resources to make such grand travel plans, and would prefer to stay stateside. The Detroit City Council, on the other hand, plans to make nightly flights between Europe, Canada and Latin America and participate in all global tours. I'm sure that there would be, because there are those that may not want to send their entire organization on a global tour. Hope that helps. -Wayne
Galen
The way registration will work this season is that when you post your corps info in the registration thread (ie corps name, division, director name, etc), you'll also be asked to list your choice for which leg of the global tour you'll participate in- Europe, Canada or US. So to answer Chris' question, yes there will be a US tour that coincides with the Canadian and European tour. That input will help us set the final schedule for those tours and will determine, among other things, how many shows there will be, whether there will be one or multiple "legs" of those tours, quality of venue, etc. So the more people that sign up, the bigger houses we'll get to play in. For instance, if 20 corps indicate they'll participate in the European tour, that tour MIGHT look something like this: Day 1: Paris France Day 2: Moscow Russia Day 3: Brussels Belgium and Stockholm Sweden If, on the other hand, only a handful of corps register, the European tour would most likely resemble the DCE schedule- and that would be a bit dull, wouldn't it.
