Which hornlines have been too loud?

Recommended Posts

Now that most corps are fielding close to 80 brass, often with 16 contras, surely in recent years you might have observed some hornlines being just too loud, often overpowering the pit (at only around a dozen players) or the drumline. Which hornlines in recent years do you feel have been just too loud?

No such thing exists or could ever exist.

only thing too loud is a stick-out.

As long as there is balance, there is no such thing as too loud. God bless the mainstreaming of the 16 member tuba/contra line.

Outside none!

Blasts first trumpets were painful at times coming through the mics in the second half of the show.

Well,

We have heard over the years many that were overblown, out of tune, poorly balanced, and generally not very good. But too loud? Is that even possible?
