Galen
Getting off to a VERY early start, this will be the thread used to keep track of the sweepstakes award standings throughout this season. The rules: The DCPI Sweepstakes Award is designed to add an extra layer of competition to the DCPI experience. It is also designed to reward corps for consistent performance during the overall season. Corps competing in designated Sweepstakes shows will receive points based on their standing. Points will be awarded to the top 6 finishers in each division at each show on the following basis 1st place: 10 points 2nd place: 6 points 3rd place: 4 points 4th place: 3 points 5th place: 2 points 6th place: 1 point At the end of the season, the corps in each division wins a special sweepstakes award. There will also be a Overall Sweepstakes Champion award for the highest-finishing corps, regardless of division. This is intended to be separate from the DCPI championship award and is not intended to supercede that award.

CitBos
How are these placement determined? Also, what do the numbers in parentheses at the end of the corps name mean?
