Alliance_JM
2010 Open House After a record-setting 2009 season, ALLIANCE Drum & Bugle Corps is excited to announce the date for their 2010 Open House Camp! This preliminary audition camp will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2009 from 1:30pm to 7:00pm at Wildwood Baptist Church in Acworth, GA. The management team will go over a few business items at the beginning of the camp and then the design team will outline details of the 2010 field production as well a few other surprises! This camp is a chance for prospective members to meet the staff and be introduced to ALLIANCE techniques and procedures, and will be the first step in the formal audition process for the 2010 season. Audition requirements can be found on the ALLIANCE website. ALLIANCE finished the 2009 season with an 8th place finish in DCA Open Class; a record placement for any corps moving from Class A to Open, and the best finish for a first-year Open Class corps since the San Francisco Renegades' 10th place finish in 2002. The design and instructional staffs will remain virtually the same from 2009 to 2010 with some minor changes to be announced later in the season. Alan Sears and Larry Summerlin remain the Percussion Caption Heads and Arrangers after leading the 2009 percussion to an impressive 4th place overall finish in drums. Daniel Gray, Scott Jones, and Ben Rice return as the Brass Staff for 2010. ALLIANCE is in the process of acquiring nearly a full-size line of Dynasty horns and plans on fielding 50 or more brass players for the 2010 season. Lucie Ausburn returns as the Color Guard Caption Head, and hopes to build on the successes of the 2009 color guard. Josh Matthews returns in his 3rd year as Program Director, Drill Writer, and Visual Caption Head. Detailed bios on the 2010 staff and directions to our Open House can be viewed on our BRAND NEW website at http://alliancedrumcorps.org, and please stay tuned to the website as camp times and locations can change. BOSMarcher
I wish you guys the best of luck. The South is going to be rocking next season! I am going to be rooting for 3 southern corps in Finals (Class A or Open), and at least one in the top 5. Good luck with your Open House Alliance.
