If I'm not mistaken, this sounds like a different arrangement of what they played on "Ornaments in Brass" a few years back...and I agree with craiga, love the ending! :thumbs-up:

That was VK, and the 1993 OIB arrangement was a transcription of "Angels" from the 1961 album "A Kenton Christmas". They recorded it at UNT, where Kenton's original charts now reside.

I have to give kudos to these Corps who do this. The staff give the brass members the charts, they read 'em, do a couple of runs, then it's recorded. It's all pretty amazing to do it all in such short order and play it so well.

Thanks for posting this. Boston does a very nice sounding job with this too.. ...'very enjoyable rendition with some nice creative twists to it.
