Spin a flag, rifle, sabre

Twirl a baton

I started out twirling a baton...maybe that's why I'm so good at spinning... B) Ya think?!

I also twirled first, not to toot my own horn but a national champion, and i totally think that helps you spin better, i learned how to spin at magic pretty much, and i was fine with it, i was on both weapon lines too.

I agree with the spin for flags and twirl for baton. I twirled baton for 15 years before I got into color guard. I was never a national champion, the closet I got was 3rd, but still not bad. It definatly helped when I got into sabre's. It was exactly like a baton for me. Blue Devils winterguard in 91-92 had alot of baton moves in their sabre section. And one of their instructors is a baton teacher.

I spin all of my equipment.

It's not a gun, it's a rifle.

It's not a sword or a knife, it's a sabre.

Rehearsal is what you do as an ensemble, practice is what you do at home :)

Your Mama raised you right
