mckdan
I remember in 1979 with the Troopers we started in the low 50's and ended up in the low 80's by the end of the season. I wonder what the greatest increase from low to high there has ever been? I should preface this with the necessity that the corps makes finals. Recent history...but the season in which I received the highest score was also the one where we started at the lowest. About a 29 point increase overall. While im sure thats been topped, Im also pretty sure that the other two corps to top the 99 mark didnt have nearly as far to come as we did after that first show in june

Jeff Ream
I think it was 1980 the Guardsmen had like a 48 to start the year and cracked 80 at prelims

DanjrusMcRynky
SCV 1993 got a 56.1 at their first show, and topped out at 91.1 in quarterfinals. 35 point increase.
mckdan
I also seem to remember in 1980 that Troopers were drubbing the "Garfield Cadets" in the early part of the season then the Cadets completely redid their show and finished 9th or so versus 14th for Troop. I can't remember the exact difference, but, it seemed to be in the 30 plus point level. Les Eclipse seem to have the biggest increase, but, they did not make finals that year. I marched against Les Eclipse and still cannot believe they lost against some of those corps in 1986. (But Troopers lost to the General Butler Vagabonds in 1979 and made finals too).
