  1. I sent this to Bluecoats' FB page and they loved it. Could totally hear them doing this! http://youtu.be/VlchaF8Y5oI
  2. #Troll THAT'S the "dramatic new ending? A scrim from a Regiment 90s show and the ladder from Cavaliers 1995? And - ohh - they formed a CROWN Ok. They'll be in fifth at finals. Too bad - the members are seriously outperforming the show they've been given Also - don't have a 2 minute drum solo and cover up the climax with massive electronic goo
  3. Ugh, this is a ridiculous post. The Cadets believe they can win at the first winter audition meeting.
  4. Tarpon kids aren't allowed to march corps while still in school....interferes with band camp.
  5. I hope all is well and I'm intrigued with the new judging system!
  6. Congrats Chris. I had the honor of sitting with your father last year in Austin, TX in the theater for the Quarterfinals broadcast. I also marched Suncoast under Robert and LOVE the direction the coros is moving! Bravo. quote name='ckomnick' timestamp='1340306811' post='3153215'] Uh oh, it's usually not a good thing when you have a DCP thread started with your name in the title. 7. Wow, I'm concerned about Michael Cesario. I saw him on the theater broadcast tonight. His hands were visibly shaking while talking. I'm not saying this to be rude...never seen his hands like that. Hope he's ok.
  8. Bluecoats are way ahead of Boston as far as horns go. Then again, they always are. Looking forward to the Texas shows!
  9. I also remember reading through "It Don't Mean A Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing."
  10. What an awesome show to perform. To this day, I'm honored to have been a part of it!
  11. Sounds like a cool, fun show. I highly doubt they will cheese it up with the rock parts. Looking forward to it.
  12. Casablanca? Those weren't the real actors though so maybe not.
  13. No. Spirit and Suncoast finished side by side from 1983-1988....How's that for a rivalry? In 1989 when we made finals and they didn't, we made a huge delta on the field with our horns and a smaller one with drumsticks as a tribute to them not being on the field. I think it was a friendly rivalry.
  14. I meant to focus on the cool Youtube video. I agree that this topic is old...I was siting in the front row on the 40 when it happened. Next time I'll just post the video.
  15. Listen at 3:06...maybe that's what he was going for! (yes I'm kidding)
  16. This isn't Robert W. Smith. First of all, he didn't live in Illinois in 1991, and second of all, for those of us that know him, he would have never talked like that about another corps. Third, don't quote me on this, but I think he got his Doctorate later than 1991. Think about it...the person who wrote the 1988 Suncoast show, my rookie year, would not have a problem with '91 Star.
  17. We had "Don't Mean a Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing" at the very first camp in '88 but went to the Contemporary Child show soon after. In '89, we had the show from day one.
  18. Music from Hans Zimmer's Angels and Demons soundtrack. Cool!
