Way to stay positive.

I think "chaddyt" was being sarcastic seeing as how the person he quoted made that statement in another thread.

i saw the email - crazy awesome, 6 groups returning/beginning!
Hope so. Lately we've been LOSING 5-6 D2/3 corps a year.

Actually DCI only gained a net total of 1 corps and OC has the same exact number of corps as last year. According to the latest DCI schedule, only 17 OC corps will be attending championships.

Memphis Sound was abandoned in favor of Forte; Citations in favor of Spartans; Mystikal in favor of Genesis. Dutch Boy and Capital Regiment are not fielding and Teal Sound moved to WC.

Here's some good news. A number of corps have been approved to participate in the DCI tour this year. While these are all Open Class corps, I posted this here to shine a ray of sunshine on current events and provide an indication that the activity is starting to grow again.

VERY cool; any growth (new World Class corps moving from Open Class, or new Open Class corps) is great news!!

Good to see Spartans back in the mix, and to see another junior corps out of this area.

definitely great to see them back.

This is always good news to see new Corps begin their journey.

I wish them many, many years of success.
