LegalEagle50
Not really. Bucs were off this weekend. Looking at their score from 2 weeks ago it is safe to surmise they would have scored higher.
LegalEagle50
Say Liz! You didn't happen to be part of that group in '86 that took advantage of the tie were you? Just curious - In '86 I didn't know DCA existed.
MCL_Contra
I'm sure they would have. But this is still the first time all season someone has posted a higher score than Bucs. I'm just sayin'.
kenweaver
This ranking anomaly has happened several times in the past and should be seen as nothing more than that, in my opinion. I'm really surprised that there isn't more complaining about the high scores and who and when gets them. Guess we have a double-standard here, with some people. Oh well, back to work in the coal mine.
Fran Haring
Bucs were off this weekend. I marched in a junior corps that was off a lot of weekends. During our performances. But seriously, folks.....
HighBrass09
I'm sure they would have. But this is still the first time all season someone has posted a higher score than Bucs. I'm just sayin'. The same exact thing happened last year. They had a show the next day (this same weekend I believe) and they went up like 3 points and broke a 90. Were used to it

Jeff Ream
*SIGH*Who wants to bring up when that happened with the Matadors? People still argue about that exception today.......Well some people, :sshh: Matadors is different from say 93 where all 13 corps performed in finals. it was agreed upon in adavance. the Matadors thing happened sometime Sunday afternoon
Jeff Ream
there was only one tie in 86 prelims...for first. the controversy was because Matadors were added in to the night show because of their color guard who was undefeated as 11th and ended up 10th at finals. 1 Bushwackers 92.45 2 Steel City Ambassadors 91.95 3 Hawthorne Caballeros 90.90 4 Reading Buccaneers 87.55 5 Rochester Crusaders 85.45 6 Long Island Sunrisers 85.30 7 New York Skyliners 79.20 8 Empire Statesmen 74.20 9 Minnesota Brass, Inc. 72.35 10 Rhode Island Matadors 72.05 11 Guelph Royalaires 71.85 WOW LARRIE !! I thought nobody would be BIG enough to mention it!!! That's the FIRST thing that came to my mind when they were talking about ties in Prelims altering the number of groups in finals.. SPANDY - If you want specifics on that occurrance, either PM me or e-mail me... I can elaborate (but of course, with that Minnesota tainted bias) Say Liz! You didn't happen to be part of that group in '86 that took advantage of the tie were you? Just curious - Pat 1 Tie - Hawthorne Caballeros 89.65 1 Tie - Steel City Ambasadors 89.65 3 Bushwackers 88.70 4 Reading Buccaneers 88.25 5 Long Island Sunrisers 86.25 6 Rochester Crusaders 83.50 7 New York Skyliners 82.95 8 Empire Statesmen 77.25 9 Minnesota Brass, Inc. 77.00 10 Guelph Royalaires 75.35 11 Rhode Island Matadors 74.80 12 Connecticut Hurricanes 73.40 13 Westshoremen 69.55 14 Les Ambassadeurs 64.60 15 Pinetree Warriors 54.25 16 CMCC Warriors 51.40 17 Keystoners 49.85 18 Knights of Noble Callahan 47.
