Patrick McNeal
Bluecoats 1990. 2008 BD 1982, 86, 90, 91, 92 SCV 1989, 91 Madison 1988 Star 1990. 92 Phantom 89, 91 Crown 2008 Cadets 1990, 92 ...all get regular play in my car. Surprised no one else liked Bluecoats 90; it's the first thing I think of when I think "Bluecoats" and one of my all-time favorite DCI shows. Disclaimer: I like music first; I don't care what they looked like on the field or what the guard did (91 Phantom excepted ;-) )

madalumni
For me....the entire top 12 from 1992 had some of the best musical programs ever! Others..... 1980 Madison Scouts, especially their opener - "They're playing our song". 1982 Blue Devils - Smooth as silk horn line 1984 Santa Clara - Great range of musical flavor. 1984 Blue Devils - Another silky smooth horn lines...and "La - Freakin'-Fiesta"! 1984 Garfield Cadets - Beautiful, powerful, emotional music all the way through 1987 Santa Clara - Best opener ever! 1989 Cavaliers - Some of the most haunting and "moody" music ever! 1990 Star - New standard in arranging and Brass performance! 1995 Scouts - Maybe the most adrenaline laced show ever! 1996 Phantom - Dark, brooding, tense and powerful. 1997 Cadets - Loved the opening unison runs and the insane closer. 1999 Madison - Full of great and memorable melodies. 2000 Cadets - Awesome music throughout - especially the bright and cheerful closer. 2003 Phantom - Pure emotional roller-coaster ride and big goosebumps at the end! 2008 Phantom - Most theatrical show since 89 SCV! 2010 Madison Scouts - Most powerful opening hit in years and tons of great melody!
