wesleyrp
A friend of mine is holding a couple of seats to Finals on Saturday, but finding a flight is rough and way expensive? I've tried all the websites anyone know a good travel agent/have good hookup for decent airfare? Wes P

For whatever reason, they change their prices all the time, so you might find a great rate at night. The other idea that was already posted is good: look at nearby airports and renting a car. Chicago is 3 hours from Indy.
Liahona
fly to chicago and drive to indy :) This is the best suggestion...IMO
Scout
fly to chicago and drive to indy :) And try Midway, not O'Hare, in Chicago. Other options might be Dayton, Cincinnati, Columbus, ... and drive. I assume he's trying something like PriceLine?
chealion313
I checked Priceline yesterday and booked a flight for Saturday from NY for $389 round trip..not direct flights, but definitely better than the last minute prices you'd get elsewhere! wesleyrp
Thanks for the responses!! I have looked at Chicago as well, but it's the same price as Indy. Southwest has a special for one way for 141 dollars, but it's still at the cheapest 800 bones to fly home. I will check tonight as someone suggested, and have looked at driving from Cincy/Louisville, St. Louis and Chicago so far. Looked at all the competitive websites I could think of- travelocity, orbitz, priceline, expedia, hotwire, cheapirlines, cheapoarilines, southwest, kayak. Anyone know of any others? Thanks again. Haven't been to finals since I marched in '98 and would love to get up there. Wes P

You may need to just input flexible dates to get a better deal. Try it so you are arriving either on Friday or Saturday and leaving on Sunday or Monday. That will probably help. MikeZ
Fly up and see if you can catch a ride home with Crossmen. Most groups have empty seats on the way home and may let you hitch a ride. I would offer to make a donation to the corps (50.00 or 100.00) and see if they would let you hitch a ride. Seems like a win for everyone involved. Of course I would try to get in touch with Crossmen before you fly up...but it has to be worth a shot right. Z
ouooga
There's no shame in driving man. I did it from Las Vegas last year. It sucks, ya, but it's not like any of us have never been on an interstate before.
