Danielle
Good morning from the pressbox. Looks like a nice day and an enthusiastic crowd!
Brent
American Flag Squads will be in top form today. Scout House carries the American Flag, The Canadian Flag and two sidearms. The colorguard looks like they have 7 foot poles. Here we go setting up on the starting line. Side one endzone for those newbies!
Brent
off the line! Nice job with the opening statement! Down the field we go. AFS leading the charge!

kevingamin
I saw Preston Scout House two months ago in Rochester. They were already better at that performance than they were at last year's Alumni Spectacular. Opening fanfare has some people going "WOW!" Mellophones really wail to open the show. So, if I understand correctly, those are called "bugle bells", not glockenspiels?
kevingamin
Also love that the DM doesn't use a podium. He marches on the field with the corps and conducts from field level. Hey, a little fancy footwork from the hornline during the drum transition into Brazil. That's too modern. :P
kevingamin
Flags have seven foot poles. The wind is still blowing, so that can't be fun for the guard members. Sing Sing Sing starts with a drum intro. Basses come around in front of the single tenors so they can play on them. There's some serious wrist chops in the drum line, what with playing on the single tenors and snares on slings.
