Never Bb
Why? Why not? Bring it to the people!
Vanguard Rich
What about an event in Indiana? We have some beautiful halls out here for a mini corps show. Gee, cut my driving time down from 10 hours to 4!! I'm in!!!
kcbari
Why? http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/remuneration Basically, it means "pay"...thought it sounded weird to suggest that someone in a group was being paid, that's all. Tough to pay those bus bills to say, Indiana, without the old remuneration though. Would probably lead to, I don't know, consternation, frustration, perhaps even constipation (which could kill Strutta!).
strutta
True on the last point Ray. Also true on the first assessment that it costs money to do the mini corps thing and take it on the road. In Mass Brass, the membership basically pays for everything of a personal nature including travel and accommodations. The corps so far can only pick up the cost of arranging, music rights and instruction. Without remuneration, we can't do most of the distance shows that are proposed (though we would love to do them).
