GeneralTsoChicken
I remember seeing a vignette about him on the 1997 finals broadcast if I remember correctly. Dude is absolutely bananas. Out there. But an amazing musician and outstanding teacher. He's a bit of a mad scientist and loves reworking solder on horns. Just about every horn in the hornline had been reworked somehow by him. He's also responsible for the franken-euph that was passed down by vets in the 3rd euph parts. This franken-euph had parts from 6 different euphoniums and 2 tubas. It weight more than you can even imagine. It was ridiculous. My favorite memory of Pete Bond was him sitting under a shade tree, smoking his pipe, playing the arban's with one hand, and drinking out of a no name (no label) brown whiskey bottle. Even more epic when compounded with his constant crocodile dundee hat wearing adventures.
