For percussion, I would raid the Academy and get Murray Gusseck, Glen Crosby and Brian Stevens. I would likely go with either Brian Mason or Jim Casella for arrangements. Any additional techs I would trust them to find.

For brass, I would go with André Feagin and let him hire whoever he would want to tech. For the arrangements, most likely Key Poulan.

In the realm of guard, I would likely hire Michael Shapiro for design and to be caption head. Again, whatever techs he wants to bring in are fine with me.

Drill design, I will have to say Michael Gaines. I'd have to really think about the Caption Head.

Obviously we're just imagining here for fun...but the real "dream team" isn't the ones listed previously. It's any creative/talented staff (no matter what individual trophies/petigrees they've earned previously) that has the desire and resources to stay together long enough to begin to see the same things in the design architecture; And use their skill sets to compliment each other; and surround that with an atmosphere of open suggestions, energy and willingness to make the other guy's idea work.

Too often corps leadership (and sometimes the fans..... cough,cough....PR) go on a frantic search for a magic bullet staff when consistency and long term friendships, relationships and trust is the answer. Freshing the mix from time to time is always fine, but keep the corps of the corps together. Just sayin.
