Andyroo
I'm compiling books of scores through the years - juniors and seniors. For the sake of continuity and accuracy, though, I'd like to know which year St. Rita's Brassmen became simply "The Brassmen." Also, I'd like to know which year the Bridgemen became Bayonne Bridgemen, as opposed to St. Andrew's. Thanks, Andy

Thanks, Andy According to the Bridgemen website (as well as my own personal knowledge of history of the Bridgemen) Father Donovan was transferred to St. John's Parish in Bergenfield, N.J. and elevated to Monsignor during the ending months of 1975. It is my understanding that some of the former members of the St. Andrew's Bridgemen approached Bobby Hoffman in late 1975/early 1976 to take on the duties of Program Director and the rest is history. The 1975 season was the end of the "Shako Era" so to speak and 1976 began the 'Yellow Coats Era".
Fastone
1973 For the Brassmen, the affiliation with St Rita's church ended after the 1972 season.
