griego4m
All of us fans that have iPods have undoubtedly found the glory that are Audio Performance Downloads. What are the five shows that claim the most plays on your iPod? Mine are: 1. Spartacus - Phantom Regiment 1982 2. A Defiant Heart: The Music of Dmitri Shostakovich - Phantom Regiment 1996 3. The Music of Barber and Bartok - Star of Indiana 1993 4. Finis - Carolina Crown 2008 5. Apasionada 274 - Phantom Regiment 2004 I'm very interested to hear what other people consider their most played shows! I have 20 songs by different drum corps, and then a Blast! album from 1999... along with some Marine Drum and Bugle Corps, a song from the Blue Devils 2009 album, and some sound clips. *Apasionada

bchorn
Thanks for this thread. My 4.5 year old son has been developing an interest in “marching bands” thanks to some high school marching band competitions I took him to last fall. So now, when it’s just him and me driving in the car, he asks me to put on marching bands. So far, we’ve been listening to… 1989 Santa Clara 1988 Madison Scouts 1989 Cavaliers 1986 Cadets It’s a small collection that I will add to based on this thread. connorthemello
@griego4m: Hey, I was only 600 off. ;) Bchorn... that is wonderful. I got into it when I saw my band director wearing a Cadets shirt... I didn't know who the Cadets were, so I looked them up and VOILA! I'm addicted now...

skywhopper
I love this thread. It gives a different take on old shows than "your favorite" or "best of the decade" type stuff. I ran through to count the shows mentioned to see what the most popular seem to be. I included any show explicitly mentioned in a positive light even "honorable mentions": Most mentioned shows: 5 mentions: Vanguard 89 3 mentions: Madison 95, Phantom 96, Crown 08, Vanguard 09 2 mentions: Phantom 89, Star 93, Madison 96, Vanguard 99, Blue Devils 00, Cadets 00, Phantom 03, Phantom 04, Vanguard 04, Vanguard 05, Crown 07, Crown 09, Cavaliers 10, Bluecoats 10 Most mentioned corps: 1. Santa Clara Vanguard (19) 2. Phantom Regiment (13) 3. Madison Scouts (11) 4. Carolina Crown, Blue Devils (10) 6. Cadets (9) 7. Cavaliers (8) 8. Bluecoats (7) 9. Star of Indiana (3) 10. Glassmen, Blue Stars (2) (Updated with amusicman's post which came after I first calculated.) Edited July 12, 2011 by skywhopper

connorthemello
Cadets 03 was very good. I love how they payed tribute to what might have been the best closer in all of Cadets history.
