DrumManTx
A lot has been said about the top 4 being so awesome, but how about that bottom 6 in the top 12?! Especially 8 - 12, that's got to be the strongest that group has been in awhile, some of those shows would be a lot higher in past years, but not this year. Discuss! bearwy
I think this is a strong year for the activity in general. Bottom 6 and beyond have some very memorable moments. Great for us fans!

MikeN
One of the best, I think, but I don't know if I would say the best ever. My list of best 7-12 groups since I've been watching - I'd put these lineups against any group of corps. 1990 - Crossmen - New York Voices Bluecoats Madison Scouts - Undiscovered Madison Velvet Knights - Hollywood Tour Spirit of Atlanta - Selections from Gone with the Wind / The Color Purple Dutch Boy 1992 - Santa Clara Vanguard - Fiddler on the Roof Phantom Regiment - War and Peace Blue Knights - Portraits of Aaron Copland Velvet Knights - Magical Mystery Tour Bluecoats - A Day in the Life Freelancers - The Music of Sir William Walton 1997 - Cavaliers - The Firebird Glassmen - The Age of Gold Blue Knights - Ben Hur The Magic - Carnivale Bluecoats - Midnight Blue Carolina Crown - Postcards from Britain 2002 - Bluecoats - Urban Dances Glassmen - Odyssey Crossmen - The Signature Series Spirit of Atlanta - Darkness Into Light The Magic - Desert Winds Cascades - City Riffs (Though I may be in a minority on this one - ) 2008 Santa Clara Vanguard - 3hree Blue Stars - Le Tour Blue Knights - Knight Reign Boston Crusaders - Neocosmos Glassmen - Kar-ne-vel Madison Scouts - La Noche de la Iguana 2011 - SCV - The Devil's Staircase Boston - Revolution Madison - New York Mourning Blue Knights - An English Folk Song Suite Blue Stars Spirit - ATL Confidential (well, that's how it is right now anyways) Mike
skywhopper
I agree. Pacific Crest is sweet this year. My favorite of the bottom six, I think. Really ambitious drill which they pull off great, and an excellent musical presentation. I like what Cascades are doing with the boxes and the color scheme. Pioneer has an amazing amount of sound for their size and probably the best props this year. Teal Sound continues to push the envelope--I think the violin is a nice touch despite myself, and the violinist is an awesome player! I haven't been lucky enough to catch Mandarins or Jersey Surf yet, but I look forward to seeing their finals week performances!
Corbin
1990 - Crossmen - New York Voices Bluecoats Madison Scouts - Undiscovered Madison Velvet Knights - Hollywood Tour Spirit of Atlanta - Selections from Gone with the Wind / The Color Purple Dutch Boy I agree with Mike. I believe this to be one of the best of the bottom top 12, but 1991 1991 7) Madison - City of Angels 8) Crossmen - Pat Metheny 9) Blue Knights - Various 10) Freelancers - Various 11) Bluecoats - Various 12) Sky Ryders - Camelot
NeoCervantes II
Well bottom 6 in the top 12. Should of clarified. Sorry! I think he means that 6-12 equals 7 corps. The bottom six (of the top 12) is 7-12.

As I've said on here several times, '90 was an all around benchmark year in quality, show difficulty, AND entertainment. The competition top to bottom of the top 25 has yet to be unmatched since, imho. This year is probably the best in 5 years, so that's a good sign.
