kevingamin
Next on the field is Shenandoah Sound from Sterling, Viginia. Their 2011 program is entitled "Crazy For You" and consists of: I Got Rhythm (from Girl Crazy) Embraceable You (from Embraceable You) Slap That Bass You Can't Take That Away From Me Someone to Watch Over me (from Oh, Kay!) lp1955
I was afraid that these small horn lines would not come over on the feed. Nice sound from these small lines loving it so far.

MJH
I really hate when people walk around during the show.
Genesee
Rhapsody in Blue. Trumpet soloist on the original clarinet solo opening. My only complaint is that I hear every single dutt from the drum line and count off from the flags. I second that opinion. It was distracting at times. kevingamin
There's a contra player with a large foot cast in a wheelchair sitting next to the pit. Way to stay in the show!
kevingamin
Very nice soprano solo to start I've Got Rhythm.
kevingamin
Fifteen horns. There goes our fourteen horn streak. Love the balanced sound from the horns! Eight marching percussion, eight pit, four guard, and one drum major. One of the pit players is also in a motorized chair. I think that may be a record for most corps members in chairs that are not members of the Blue Devils. Yeah, I went there.
kevingamin
Horns have some nice tasty parts. No heroes in the horns so far, either. The crowd likes the Gershwin, too. Just like in previous years, the drum major leaves the podium and takes up a horn while one of the guard members assumes DM duties. Might even be the same two people as before. bryan2449
Great musical selection. Some classics! Kinda odd to see so much spacing in the pit.
