kevingamin
BAC Senior knows how to start a show. Four cymbal crashes and right into Conquest.
kevingamin
In '79 and '80 I was Brass Instructor for the San Jose Raiders. Their uniforms were almost exactly like the Bridgemen's (and Bobby Hoffman wrote our drill!). When the corps folded, a lot of the members went to Santa Clara and the Blue Devils, and are now marching in the Renegades! And, let's be honest, the Renegades were evil Bridgemen. Long BLACK coats, after all.
kevingamin
Corps is now in concert formation and is performing Man of La Mancha. Half the guard is now on sabers up front, rest on flags.
kevingamin
Fun banter between the DM and the crowd. Can't quite hear it, but there's plenty of chuckles as a result.
kevingamin
Nice double tonguing by the sopranos. First time I've heard this piece, too, so I don't know which one it is.
kevingamin
The percussion is on modern equipment, but they're doing a great job showing off their rudimental skills.
kevingamin
Now all of the guard is on sabers. All horns but sopranos are up. Assuming the play list is in the correct order on Corpsreps (and it usually is), this is Artsa Alinu.
kevingamin
And there's Hava Nagila. Some audience members are clapping along. Drum corps is one of the few places where that can happen without disastrous results.
kevingamin
Snares are playing some clean beats down there. Playing on the Kevlar heads makes that harder to do, too.
kevingamin
Corps is back on the move, turned backfield and moving up the 50.
