Tito John
Getting rid of the smells too easily would eliminate about 25% of my kid's tour stories. I'm all in favor...
Stradbrother
Ah... Well then this would help people in corps that require a shirt! Haha... I mean, it'd still smell. But the smells could be washed off easily in the shower. I think it would have to contain 0% cotton. Like take mesh shorts... My section shorts last year could be washed, but the smell wouldn't leave the cotton waistband... I don't know. I'm just sorta brainstormin

Jeffe77
Check this out - Tweet from DCI "@80mins @underarmour under armour wants nothing to do with marching band and drum corps. They no longer provide clothes for us."
Jeffreelancer
There are plenty of alternatives to the overprices under armor brand. Ultra running and adventure sports suppliers already have clothing like this. A corps could have custom designs made for whatever apparel they need. WPendergrass
Uh...it wasn't a DCI rule, despite what some corps members were told. Letter "d." of the 2011 and 2012 "DCI Code of Conduct". Da_Expert_has_spoken
ehhh... there are so many athletic wear lines already that specialize in fitness and sport... and NO, simply rinsing them in the shower dont always do it... I wouldnt think that designing and selling something to a very small, specific, narrow activity would do particularly well or even come close to recouping start up cost, development costs, marketing, manufacturing, etc. In order for it to be specific and specialized, it would have to be designed specially, which would increase costs, which would increase retail price... with that utter absurd cost of dues what they are now, along with any college associated costs, I dont think too many participants have a ton of cash to begin with. michsta8
So over the summer this came to me, do you think a company would ever make a DCI rehearsal clothing line? Like light clothes that will last through rehearsals that can be taken in the showers and dried quickly to cut down on smell. I can imagine a company displaying this at a finals tent and getting a lot of sales... I would buy. Just remember, if you do this. DutchBoy89
Waiting for Nike to start making uniforms and shirts for Drum Corps, they have never passed up a buck!
