BD9
In Indy, the school we stayed at was awesome...they had an indoor pool, and the sign in the locker room next to the pool room's door read "girls's swimming"... I lol'd. Also it was always cool when we did clinics/show and tells for high school bands, especially one where we got to meet and greet some of the students. A friend of mine taught one student how to dougie. Or jerk. Or something of that sort.
KeithHall
1973. Somewhere on a highway between Marion, OH and Butler, PA. No stopping, no restroom. A few guys had to "go" so the back door of the school bus was opened and while others held on to you, you peed out the back door. The car behind us was a corps dad and an older member who was driving but thought it was raining. If they only knew what the "rain" really was. Another? The girls! perc2100
This would be any story that doesn't directly relate to marching and playing. Well, since I met my wife (of 13 years this December) during a drum corps season I'd have to say anything having to do with that would be the best. Also, on a kinda related note, the bachelor party festivities in Montreal my age-out year were fairly legendary (in the interest of protecting the not-so-innocent I'll refrain from details, but lets just say at a certain establishment members from our corps, SCV, and Cavaliers had quite the fun). perc2100
I would also be remiss if I didn't mention a certain Tour of Champion brass arranger/instructor's LEGENDARY Halloween parties. Fun times, indeed
perc2100
Free day in Montreal - 1989. Man I think if you left off the year, and just said 'Free day in Montreal' you would speak for hundreds of drum corps members!!
kickhaltsforlife
In no particular order: Panama City Beach free day in '09. Night after semi finals '08. platesfan
Well it was an epic free day in Cedarburg, Wisconsin 2009. Lets just say there was duct tape and a massive brawl at 4 in the morning that night. 2009 scouts may remember waking up but only a few remember what truly happened. Great memory with those guys.
The Other Mike
Buying white mice at the mall and letting them loose on the girls bus in 75 (Worst memory is when a drummer brought his pet snake on tour in 71 and let it loose on the bus)
